Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup vegan butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2-3 tbsp almond milk
- Vegan red and blue food coloring
Instructions:
Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up
Prepare three 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them
Whisk the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl
Mix the dry ingredients together with the apple cider vinegar, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and almond milk
Mix everything together well
Put the same amount of batter into each of the three bowls
Separate the food into two bowls and color one red and the other blue
Do not put anything in the third bowl
Put different amounts of each color of batter into different cake pans
Use a spatula to make the tops smooth
Put it in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
Take the cakes out of the oven and let them cool for 10 minutes in the pans
After that, put them on a wire rack to cool completely
Beat vegan butter in a bowl until it's smooth
Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and almond milk slowly while beating the mixture until it is smooth and creamy
Place the cakes on a serving plate and cover each one with frosting after they have cooled
If you want, you can decorate the top of the cake with vegan red, white, and blue decorations and more frosting
